Gifts From the Heart Inc. Draws from Five Talented Photo Artists

As our Photo Art line has become more popular and the demand increased, we feel very blessed to now have four seasoned Photo Artists on board. With each one bringing their own unique talent and experience, we can provide a wide variety of Photo Art styles to our selection. Here’s a peek at the Artists and their backgrounds:

Rick Schmidt…
an avid photographer with a passion for Canadian landscape photography. He loves to capture the beauty of nature during the long shadows and soft light of the early morning and late evening sunsets, as well as the fluid movement of a horse in ‘flight’. Rick enjoys technically enhancing images with color and line to look more like a painting.

Bereavement_Pictures-250Mary Schmidt…
is the newest to the Photo Art craft, having spent most of her career working with distributed print. However, her background with printed art, together with her husband’s passion for photography and their customers’ enthusiastic response, have given Mary the desire and opportunity to dabble in Photo Art herself. One of her greatest joys is to travel the country with Rick, leaning on his wealth of insight to shoot unique photos. Then she and Rick work together back in their warehouse to produce the awesome framed pictures that capture the beauty of this great land.

Neil de Boer…
based out of the quaint but touristed village of St. Jacobs, Ontario, Neil finds the ‘Global Village’ at his doorstep very conducive to a wide variety of his favourite subjects . . . Landscape, Architecture and Artifacts. He too indulges his creativity by using various techniques and software tools to create what he saw in his mind’s eye when he took the photo.

Steve Smith, PNG…
has had a life-long passion for photography, which in his opinion, has been a long time! He too is from a small town, namely Ayr, Ontario, and has enjoyed the privilege of having his work featured in advertising and publications, receiving a number of awards for his accomplished work.

Penny Kibble…

Penny has pursued creative expressions as long as she can remember, including watercolour painting, sculpture and stained glass work.  She lives in Kitchener, Ontario with her husband Jim. With the purchase of her Nikon D90 in 2008, Penny experienced a new love for photography and finds joy in capturing glimpses of the beauty of life and nature as a testament to the glory of God. In 2012 Penny birthed a ministry outreach project with friends living in Kampala Uganda. Since then, all the profits from her photography have gone to Christ With Children of Ssinde Village, providing for the needs of 11 orphans in that village.
